Welcome to FayJuno (法语菌)! These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Luzhou Shanhe Network Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us" or "our") governing your download, installation, registration, sign-in and use of the FayJuno app, the official website (french.egg404.com) and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Before using the Service, please read and make sure you fully understand these Terms, especially the provisions in bold that exclude or limit our liability, restrict your rights, or concern dispute resolution and governing law. By tapping "Agree", ticking the consent box or actually using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
If you are under 18, please read these Terms together with your parent or guardian and use the Service only with their consent. Children under 14 may use the Service only after their parent or guardian has read and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. FayJuno is a French learning tool. It mainly provides a French dictionary, vocabulary learning and review, word list management, reading and intensive listening, read-aloud recording, pronunciation assessment, grammar checking and writing feedback, translation, French radio, grammar and beginner courses, study statistics and leaderboards, and community definitions and notes. The features actually available are those offered when you use the Service; we may add, adjust or retire features as our business develops.
2. Some features are exclusive to members or have usage limits for non-members (for example, pronunciation assessment and grammar checking), as shown in the app and described in the Membership Agreement.
3. Automatically generated content in the Service (such as grammar corrections, translations, example sentences, completed definitions and writing scores) and pronunciation scores are produced by the system for learning reference only. They are not guaranteed to be fully accurate and do not constitute professional advice. Please use your own judgment.
1. You may register and sign in to a FayJuno account with email, WeChat, QQ, Google, Apple or other methods; the methods actually available are those shown on the sign-in pages of the app and website. Some content can be browsed without signing in, while syncing study records, favourites, notes, membership and similar features require an account.
2. You must provide true, lawful and valid registration information and keep your account and sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for any loss caused by account theft or information leakage resulting from your failure to keep them safe. If you discover that your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
3. Your account is for your personal use only and may not be lent, rented, transferred, sold or shared with others. To keep accounts secure, the number of devices that can be signed in to one account at the same time is limited (currently 2 for non-members and 3 for members). When the limit is exceeded, the device that signed in earliest will be signed out. You can view and remove signed-in devices under Settings > Device management.
4. Your nickname, avatar and other account information must not contain unlawful content, content that infringes the rights of others or other inappropriate information. Otherwise we may reject it, ask you to change it or reset it.
5. You can request account deletion in the app under Me > Edit profile > Account security > Delete account. After you submit the request, a 7-day grace period begins; signing in again during this period cancels the deletion. If you do not sign in within 7 days, the account will be permanently deleted and its study records, favourites, notes, membership benefits, points and other data will be deleted or anonymised and cannot be restored, unless otherwise required by law.
6. Protection of minors: Minors under 18 should use the Service with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian, and children under 14 may use it only after a parent or guardian has read and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Minors must obtain parental consent before purchasing membership or other paid services. We encourage minors to plan their study time sensibly and look after their eyesight. If a parent or guardian finds that a minor has registered, paid or otherwise used the Service inappropriately without consent, they can contact us using the methods in Section 10.
When using the Service, you must comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and with public order and good morals. You must not use the Service to create, upload, publish or spread information that:
You also must not:
If you breach the above, we may, depending on the circumstances, delete content, restrict features, suspend or permanently ban your account, cancel points and membership benefits obtained through the violation, and pursue legal liability. The system applies sensitive-word filtering and manual review to some public content. If you disagree with an account restriction, ban or other measure, you can appeal using the methods in Section 10, and we will reply after verification.
1. Intellectual property in the community definitions, word notes, user pronunciation recordings, comments, feedback and other content you publish in the Service ("User Content") belongs to you or the original rights holder. Some User Content (such as public notes, community definitions and user pronunciations) is shown to other users, so please check it before publishing. Word read-aloud recordings are uploaded and stored after submission and, once reviewed, are shown publicly as "user pronunciations".
2. You warrant that you have the lawful right to the User Content you publish and that it does not infringe the lawful rights of any third party. To provide the Service to you and other users, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive and sublicensable right to store, copy, display, edit (such as reformatting) and distribute that User Content within the scope of the Service.
3. You can delete User Content you have published.
4. Reporting violations: If you find content published by other users that is unlawful or infringes your or others' lawful rights (such as copyright, portrait rights or reputation, or that discloses personal privacy), you can use the "Report" button next to word notes and similar content, choose the "Report" type under Feedback & complaints in the app, or contact us using the methods in Section 10. Rights holders submitting a complaint should provide proof of identity, proof of ownership and the location of the infringing content. We will verify reports promptly and, as appropriate, delete or block content, remove links or restrict account features, and notify you of the outcome through the Feedback & complaints ticket or the contact details you provide. A user who believes a decision against them is wrong can appeal in the same way.
Intellectual property in the software, interface design, word lists, courses, articles, audio, images, trademarks, logos and other content we provide in the Service belongs to us or the relevant rights holders. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or otherwise use such content without permission. Some dictionary entries, definitions and other content may come from third-party open resources; those rights belong to the original rights holders and are used under the applicable licences.
Membership and other paid items in the Service are governed by the Membership Agreement. You can purchase them in the app through app stores such as the Apple App Store and Google Play, or on the website with WeChat Pay or Alipay; payments are processed by the relevant payment providers. All membership products are currently one-time purchases and do not renew automatically.
We take the protection of your personal information seriously and will collect, use, store and protect it in accordance with the FayJuno Privacy Policy, which forms an important part of these Terms.
1. We do our best to keep the Service running stably. However, if the Service is interrupted or some features become unavailable because of system maintenance or upgrades, network failures, problems with third-party services (such as payment, sign-in, speech or text processing services), force majeure or similar causes, we will restore it as soon as possible but are not liable for any resulting indirect loss.
2. We may change or terminate some services as our business requires. If we terminate the Service entirely, we will notify you in advance through in-app announcements, inbox messages or similar means, and handle any unexpired paid benefits properly in accordance with the law and the Membership Agreement.
1. Learning content, automatically generated content and assessment results in the Service are for learning reference only. We make no guarantee that they are fully accurate or suitable for any particular exam or purpose.
2. The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. Third parties are responsible for their own content and services.
3. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any loss arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the fees you actually paid in the past twelve months for the paid service that gave rise to the loss.
If you have any questions, comments, complaints or reports about these Terms or the Service, you can contact us as follows. We will reply within 15 working days of receipt:
We may amend these Terms in response to changes in laws and regulations or our business. The amended Terms will be published in the app and on the website, and we will notify you of changes that materially affect your rights through pop-ups, inbox messages or other prominent means. If you continue to use the Service after the Terms are updated, you are deemed to accept the amended Terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.
The conclusion, performance and interpretation of these Terms are governed by the laws of the mainland of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit before the competent people's court at the place where Luzhou Shanhe Network Technology Co., Ltd. is domiciled.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.
