The FayJuno (法语菌) app, the official website (french.egg404.com) and related services (collectively, the "Service") are operated by Luzhou Shanhe Network Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us" or "our"). We understand how important your personal information is to you, and we process it in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations, following the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity and good faith.
This policy explains what personal information we collect and why, how we use cookies and similar technologies, how we share and entrust processing, how we store and protect information, your rights, how we protect minors and how to contact us. Please read it carefully before using the Service, especially the sensitive personal information and key terms shown in bold.
You may choose to set a nickname, avatar, gender, mobile number (optional) and age. Your nickname, avatar and gender are shown to other users in public places such as study leaderboards, community definitions, notes and user pronunciations. Your mobile number is used only for your profile and necessary contact and is never made public. Your age is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. Leaving any of these blank does not affect your use of the Service.
To keep your account secure, limit the number of signed-in devices per account and provide the Device management feature, after you sign in we collect: a device identifier (a device UUID generated by the app), device model, device name, operating system and version, app version and build number, the app store it was installed from, system language, time zone, IP address, and sign-in and last active times. The Device management page shows an approximate sign-in region inferred from the IP address. In addition, server access logs record IP addresses and other network information for security auditing and troubleshooting and are kept for 30 days.
Community definitions, word notes, user pronunciation recordings, feedback and complaints (which may include images) and other content you publish are uploaded to and stored on our servers. Public content is shown to other users together with your nickname and avatar. We apply sensitive-word filtering and review to public content.

We do not request access to your location, contacts, SMS, call logs or similar permissions.
Self-start and associated start: This app does not frequently self-start without your consent, and is not associated-started by other apps without a reasonable use case:
By agreeing to this policy, you confirm that you have read and understood these permission and startup disclosures.
After you agree to this policy, we use Firebase (see Section 4) to collect page view and feature usage events, app crash logs and network request performance data, together with the related account ID, membership level, sign-in method, device model, OS version, app version, app instance identifier and similar information. When an error occurs in the app, the error message and version number are also reported to our servers. This data is used to analyse product usage and to locate and fix problems, and does not include the learning content you enter.
Under applicable laws and regulations, we may process your personal information without your consent where necessary to conclude or perform a contract to which you are a party, to fulfil statutory duties or obligations, to respond to public health emergencies or protect the life, health and property of natural persons in emergencies, to process personal information that has already been made public within a reasonable scope, and in other legally specified circumstances.
On the website, we use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. In the app, we store sign-in credentials, study settings and caches locally on your device so you don't need to sign in repeatedly and content loads faster. You can clear this data by signing out, clearing the cache or uninstalling the app.
To provide certain features, we integrate the following third-party SDKs or services. All third-party SDKs are initialised only after you agree to this policy and process only the necessary information when you use the related feature:

We require entrusted parties by contract or similar means to process personal information only for the purposes and in the manner we specify and to take the necessary security measures.
Except as described above, we do not share your personal information with third parties unless we obtain your separate consent or are required to do so by laws, regulations, judicial or administrative authorities. If personal information needs to be transferred because of a merger, division, dissolution, bankruptcy or similar event, we will inform you of the recipient's name and contact details and require it to continue to fulfil the obligations in this policy. Except for public content you choose to publish, we do not publicly disclose your personal information.
1. Location: Personal information we collect and generate within the People's Republic of China is in principle stored within China. Please note, however, that Firebase analytics and crash analysis, Apple and Google sign-in and payment, and the IP geolocation and weather services used for home page weather are provided by entities outside China, so the related data may be transferred abroad for processing. We will take the measures required by laws and regulations to keep such data secure.
2. Retention period: We keep your personal information only for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy. After your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within the period required by law. Where laws and regulations require retention (for example, transaction records must be kept for at least three years and network logs for at least six months), we will keep the information securely for the required period and then delete or anonymise it.
3. Cessation of operations: If we stop operating the Service, we will promptly stop collecting your personal information, notify you individually or by announcement, and delete or anonymise the personal information we hold about you, unless otherwise required by law.
We protect your personal information with HTTPS encrypted transmission, API signature verification, hashed password storage, access controls, security audits and other measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss. In the unfortunate event of a personal information security incident, we will promptly inform you, as required by law, of the basic facts, possible impact, the measures we have taken or will take, and suggestions on how you can protect yourself, and report it to the competent authorities.
For security reasons we may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within 15 working days of receiving your request and verifying your identity.
We attach great importance to protecting minors' personal information. If you are a child under 14, please use the Service under the guidance of a parent or guardian after they have read and agreed to this policy. We process children's personal information only where permitted by law, with parental consent or where necessary to protect the minor. If a parent or guardian finds that we have processed a child's personal information without consent, please contact us and we will delete it as soon as possible.
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated policy will be published in the app and on the website. For material changes (such as changes to the purposes or methods of processing or the types of personal information, new third-party sharing, or changes to how you can exercise your rights), we will notify you through pop-ups, inbox messages or other prominent means and, where necessary, ask for your consent again.
If you are not satisfied with our response, and in particular if you believe our processing of personal information has harmed your lawful rights, you may also complain to the cyberspace administration, market regulation or other competent authorities, or bring a lawsuit before a people's court with jurisdiction.
